Indigenous Governance
Strong governance helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations protect their assets, meet their obligations and deliver for their members and communities. Good governance works with culture, family and community, not around them.
David supports Indigenous corporations and community-controlled organisations across Australia, including entities working in native title, health and education.
In 2008 David wrote the first ever feasibility study into Indigenous governance on behalf of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which led to a stream of governance education programs. He is a National Facilitator of Governance for ORIC, and spent six years as an Independent Director on two Indigenous boards in Kununurra, WA, working with Indigenous businesses and family groups.
